Wajit is made from palm sugar, white sugar, coconut, sticky rice and vanilla. We have to mix all the ingredients to a large pan that has been filled with water before and let it blend until it thickens into dough. Next, cut the dough into small pieces and wrap them with dry corn leaves. For the final touch, dry the wajit using nyiru (traditional pan made from woven bamboo) until the dough is quite crispy outside but still fluffy inside.
