Bike-browsing at Kosambi Bicycle Center

One day, Bandung Review Dot Com (BRDC) felt like trying a new routine for ngabuburit time. We are interested to check out the hottest trend here in Bandung, ride a bike. It is healthy, streching out these stiff muscles of ours, plus we want to accomplish our dream of Green Bandung. Riding a bike is a way to reduce evil pollution to our beloved city.

This noon, we started to hunt our favorite bike. Some info told us that we should go straight to Bandung’s Bicycle Center at Kosambi, an area between Veteran Street and Ahmad Yani Street. Stepping into the exact point, we saw lots of bike stores along the streets. After such a tour, checking every store that meets the eyes, we decided to enter a store which is one of the most crowded stores of this center. It is Sinar Bangka store.

Sentra_Sepeda_Kosambi We met the owner of Sinar Bangka, Mr. Yusuf. This middle-aged man is really an expert in bike business. He built his business since 1965, even before the Kosambi Bicycle Center was there in 1967. When we asked him, what is the secret of keeping strong at this business, he said, “The bike business is a potential one. You just need to keep fulfilling the things that our customers need, like the supply of bikes. When you can provide their needs, they will eventually become loyal customers, even friends. Plus, if riding a bike becomes a trend just like now, it is a huge opportunity that should not be missed.” Regarding to his store, Mr. Yusuf revealed that he always keep adequate supplies of his products. He brought them over from Jakarta, and some are imported from China. Kiddie bikes are worth around Rp. 300.000 and adults have a wider price range, from Rp. 1.000.000 to premium bikes of Rp. 25.000.000. You may also equipped yourself with accessories, from helmet, wardrobes, safety padding to spare parts. Your bike is having trouble? The store provided mechanics to make work again. A real one-stop-shopping for bicycle lovers.

The stores in Kosambi Bicycle Center usually operate from 8AM to 5PM. Between one store and another; they provided almost similar products with competitive prices. One thing that make people are picking their favorite store is the service that the store gives to satisfy their customers. The customers and the store employees, even owners are like old friends, enjoying long talks and chats about bike stuff, just like we had this day.

We finally found our chosen bikes and the exciting chit-chats has coming to an end. So excited to start our new hobby, push the pedal to the max with our new Kosambi bikes! Yeehaa! (TC/RA)
