Q : Can you tell us a little story behind Tegep Boots?
A : The business itself has been running from 1997, then the 1998 monetary crisis messed it all up. But Mr. Tegep superbly continued his struggle and managed to grow the business which still lasts right now.
Q : What can we find in Tegep Boots Store?
A : Not just boots, we are also sell jackets, cellphone pouch, belts and T-shirts. The designs mostly are taken from cowboy or ethnic style, inspired by Indians and Dayak culture. You can also make your own customized boots.
Q : What are the boots made of ?
A : Mostly, our product are made from local sheep and cow leathers. We also use reptile skins, such as snakes and crocodiles. Recently, we made an experimental product using kangaroo leather.
Q : How about the price?
A : The price varies from Rp. 1.000.000 – Rp. 12.000.000, depends on the model and the material. Usually, custom orders are more expensive because it is considered as limited edition stuff.
Q : Tell us about your customers!
A : Mostly our customers are riders (those who ride huge motorbikes). Some celebrities and other public figures also become our loyal customers, like Andi /rif and Vicky Burki. We are also one of main suppliers for Tantowi Yahya’s country shop in Jakarta.
