Dine and Enjoy Bandung From Punclut

Bandung,review,Bandungreview

Bandung is a city for tasty and unique food. Many places in Bandung serve delicious dishes, from five star luxurious restaurants to on-the-corner street vendors. Another thing about dining in Bandung is the scenery; the spectacular outlook of Bandung at night made a special ambiance that no other city can provide. One place in particular that famous for the scenery is Punclut. The outlook can really refresh our tired eyes.

Punclut stands in the uphill of Bandung. From Punclut we can see the Bandung city lights; a spectacular scenery with a different perspective than usual. Punclut offers great culinary experience, as we can find many traditional restaurants with the “lesehan” (sitting on the floor with a carpet) concept, and of course with their fantastic menus. Try the stew bean, their fried food such like Tempe fried, or Tofu fried, or even “Tutut” (a kind of snail); it’s all there.

Menus presented in Punclut are no less of an outlook. Even though it’s a traditional dish, but the taste is no less than other Asian food. Some of the menu such as such like “nasi merah” (red rice),” ayam bakar dan goreng” (roasted and fried chicken), “goreng usus ayam” (fried chicken intestine), fried tofu, fried tempe, “lalapan” (raw vegetables), “ikan asin” (salty fish) plus the super spicy “sambel terasi” (shrimp paste with chilies, lots of them!), are amongst the customer’s favorite.

Punclut has become an area for bicycle ride and natural jogging track for Bandung people. In the morning, you can see lots of local Bandung people spend their morning jogging and riding their bicycle in this area. During the Ramadhan month, the morning crowds change into the afternoon, as people come to Punclut in the afternoon for “ngabuburit” (an activity done by people to kill their time while they are waiting the time to break their fast). If you want to break your fast at Punclut, you must come early; because believe me, IT IS PACKED! (BRDC)
